During Sony’s September State of Play event, South Korean developer Pearl Abyss announced the final launch date for its highly anticipated game, Crimson Desert. The open-world action/adventure title will be available starting on March 19, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. Pre-orders are now open across all platforms:
– **Standard Edition:** $69.99
– **Digital Deluxe Edition:** $79.99 (includes in-game extras such as Kairos Plate Helm, Gloves, Boots, Cloak, Plate Armor, Balgran Shield, Exclaire Champron, Barding, Saddle, Stirrups)
A physical Deluxe Edition is priced at $89.99 and includes additional items like a Limited SteelBook, Map of Pywel, Letter from the Developer, Greymane Brooch Pin, 3 Character Photo Cards, and 3 Patches.
The Collector’s Edition costs $279.99 and comes with an impressive 17″ Diorama and a digital Ultimate Pack that gives players exclusive gear (Tormented Soul Bow, Derictus Spear, Sielos Longsword, Shroud Lantern, Hyperion Horse Tack Set). All pre-orders also include the Khaled Shield, while PS5 pre-orders get the Grotevant Plate Set.
With the game’s release date confirmed, Pearl Abyss has updated its PC system requirements. The minimum specs remain unchanged, but the recommended specifications have been significantly reduced to improve accessibility (Ryzen 5 5600 / i5-11600K CPU and RTX 2080 / RX 6700 XT GPU).
Crimson Desert is powered by the BlackSpace Engine, a proprietary technology detailed in our GDC 2025 report. The game originally announced pre-COVID at G-Star 2019 but faced delays before being repositioned as a single-player action/adventure title.
The end of the long development journey is finally in sight for Pearl Abyss’s second triple-A game, which was initially meant to feature some MMO-like elements before being fully revamped. Judging its merits will soon be within reach; stay tuned for more updates on Crimson Desert.
