Overnight on Friday, Ukrainian drones targeted industrial sites across multiple Russian regions, including a facility housing Iranian-designed Shahed drones. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, sites in at least four regions were hit within the previous 24 hours, targeting oil fields under international sanctions and critical military facilities.
Ukraine’s General Staff reported that strikes occurred in Ryazan, Penza, Samara, and Voronezh oblasts in western Russia. Additionally, Ukrainian drones attacked the Primorsko-Akhtarsk military air base in southern Krasnodar region, where Shahed drones were stored. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) noted that Iranian drones have been crucial for Moscow’s bombardment of Ukraine and are now produced in facilities across the country.
In Penza, Ukrainian drones hit Elektropribor plant, which manufactures digital networks for military command systems, aviation devices, armored vehicles, ships, and spacecraft. Russian Telegram channels reported explosions over the city, though official comments were pending.
Further east, Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery in Samara region was struck by a drone, with footage showing flames at the site. Ukrainian drones also targeted Annanefteprodukt fuel and lubricants storage base in Voronezh region.
