NVIDIA’s DGX Spark AI supercomputer, aimed at democratizing AI access, has not yet entered retail channels despite its planned release date. This marks a delay for the product.
NVIDIA’s DGX Spark Was Seen as a Major Development for Fueling AI Workloads, But It Is Nowhere to Be Found
Team Green unveiled ‘Project DIGITS’ at CES 2025, which was touted as a powerful yet compact super AI machine. Jensen called it a revolution in edge AI, but the launch seems delayed. Despite a planned retail launch for July, no units have reached the market, and vendors taking pre-orders have reported no deliveries. This suggests an undisclosed delay in the supply chain.
The DGX Spark utilizes the GB10 Grace Blackwell chip co-developed with MediaTek. This is NVIDIA’s first AI PC product and came with promising performance figures. However, its retail launch delay indicates uncertainty in the supply chain, though this has not been confirmed. Given rumors of an AI PC chip release for 2025, none have materialized yet, suggesting a slowdown.

Reservations for the DGX Spark can only be made through AIB partners and their solutions. Since we are in August, we hope shipments will start heading to retail markets soon. This supercomputer is seen as a significant development for professionals seeking top-tier AI power without breaking the bank. However, it could cost up to $4,000, making it unaffordable for most consumers.
