Not just in North America or Europe, but some Asian regions are also seeing an increase in demand for AMD GPUs, particularly the RDNA 4 cards. This has helped AMD gain more GPU market share this year.
### AMD Reaches Nearly 21% of Total GPU Market Share in 2025, While NVIDIA Retains its Dominance with 76% Share. RX 9070 XT and RX 7700 XT are Incredibly Popular in South Korea
It has never been better for AMD, whether considering its dominance in the CPU segment or its rise in the GPU market. While still much behind NVIDIA, it is slowly rising, claiming more GPU market share than ever in the last decade.
According to Danawa, a popular Korean DIY electronics retailer, the AMD GPU market share is on the rise, with users opting for the latest AMD GPUs like Radeon RX 9070 XT and even previous-gen Radeon RX 7700 XT. Last year, AMD had only around 15% of the total GPU market share, but this year (as per six months’ data), it is up at about 21%, leaving NVIDIA with 76% of the market share and a mere 3% for Intel.

### Market Share in South Korea
In the first quarter of 2025, Radeon RX 7700 XT helped AMD gain significant GPU market share. Since the launch of RDNA 4 GPUs, both RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT have been crucial in boosting AMD’s market share.
For NVIDIA, it is the RTX 50 60-class and 70-class cards that are most popular in South Korea. The GeForce RTX 5060 reaches over 20% of the total GPU market share, followed by the GeForce RTX 5070 at about 17%, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti at 10%, and the RTX 5060 Ti at around 9%.
### Detailed Market Share Breakdown
Both the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT grabbed around 7% of the market share each. The rest of the list mostly contains NVIDIA GPUs.
It could have been better if AMD had more GPUs in the RDNA 4 lineup, particularly direct rivals to the RTX 5080. However, it appears that AMD will likely continue with slower cards like the Radeon RX 9060 (non-XT), which the company recently announced silently. Budget GPUs also do quite well, and you can see that the Radeon RX 7600 is still the most popular RX 7000 series GPU in 2025.
