According to VGC, players on Reddit have reported that the servers are maxed out, with thousands more waiting in line. This indicates that there are thousands of enthusiasts who are eager to participate but unable to do so immediately due to server limitations.
At least for these upcoming beta weekends, EA won’t need to use bots to fill the game’s servers, as evidenced by SteamDB showing thousands of users currently in-game with a peak of 24,879 players earlier today. Pre-loading the beta became available yesterday, and with so many players already ready to try out the new shooter, it’s clear that the hype is real.
Will Battlefield 6 live up to this enthusiasm? Last week’s reveal was promising, and Kai Tatsumoto of Wccftech had positive impressions, noting “this is exactly what I’ve wanted out of Battlefield multiplayer since the days of Operation Metro and Strike at Karkand. Massive maps with infantry, tanks, and jets coordinating in tandem, and constant squadmate chatter for revives or ammo packs.” While these experiences are only a small part of the full package, October 10th can’t come soon enough for many fans.
