Battlefield 6 introduced a kernel-level anti-cheat system that requires SecureBoot to be enabled on PC. Despite this measure, many cheat attempts were reported. According to the SPEAR Anti-Cheat Team, Javelin has blocked over 330,000 cheating or tampering attempts since the beta’s launch. Additionally, users have reported around 44,000 instances of potential cheaters on day one and another 60,000 by the end of the first day.
The team uses these reports to enhance their detection methods for Battlefield 6 and collaborates with the Positive Play team to remove confirmed cheaters. SecureBoot is described as an additional barrier that makes it harder for cheat developers to create effective cheats and easier for the team to detect them. However, SecureBoot alone cannot eliminate all cheating.
The fight against cheaters in Battlefield 6 will continue post-launch on October 10, with the team vowing to combat hacks aggressively.
