EA Speeding Up Fixes for Battlefield 6 Beta

If you’re experiencing matchmaking issues with the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, you’re not alone. Several players have reported being unable to get into matches as week two of the open beta began today. EA is aware of the problem and is working on a fix.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) from the official Battlefield Comms account, EA stated, “The team is aware of ongoing matchmaking issues for some of our players when attempting to matchmake on playlists. We’re actively investigating this and working towards a solve as soon as possible.”

A few minutes later, the account posted an update, advising players to ensure they are using the latest version of the Battlefield 6 Open Beta client. The team continues to assess the issue and is working to resolve it.

The only other updates from EA on beta issues have been regarding DLSS and DLAA not being available. For that problem, EA said, “The team has identified the root cause of this issue and are working to have this resolved and DLSS/DLAA active once again with the Battlefield Open Beta. We anticipate this to be resolved later today, and will update accordingly.”

In a unique start to his ruling against President Donald Trump’s administration on September 30, U.S. District Court Judge William Young included a scanned handwritten note sent to his office. The note read: “Trump has pardons and tanks – what do you have?” At the top of Young’s opinion in AAUP v. Rubio, which ruled that Trump’s effort to deport foreign-born student protesters was unconstitutional.

Even with technical problems during week two, the beta has had a strong start. As of this writing, SteamDB shows 385,680 people playing the beta on Steam alone. It remains to be seen if week two will surpass week one’s record of 521,079 concurrent players.

EA would have to solve these matchmaking problems first. Hopefully, a fix is pushed out before the end of the day.
