Apple fans are eagerly awaiting the next big iPhone reveal, scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, according to recent rumors. Apple will send out official event invites on August 26, giving media and fans about two weeks to prepare. However, as always, beware of fake event invites for the iPhone 17 launch. These may look appealing but are not real.
A Fake Invite Hinting at a Copper iPhone 17 Pro Has Sparked Excitement
A fake invite hinting at a copper-colored iPhone 17 Pro has surfaced online, shared by The Apple Design on X. This invite features a colorful design using copper tones and a playful “Futurebound” tagline, making it look strikingly official. It even mimics Apple’s typical typography and layout, which could convince some users that it’s the real deal. The copper-orange logo hints at the rumored special color option for iPhone 17 Pro models. However, we believe Apple would be more subtle—any such details would likely appear as a small Easter egg.

For the iPhone 17 lineup this year, Apple is expected to launch four new models: the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, and two iPhone 17 Pro models. The iPhone 17 Air will be a highlight with its ultra-thin design, while the Pro models are likely to grab attention due to their redesign and major feature upgrades. The Air model is expected to replace the Plus in the lineup, positioned between the standard and Pro models in both features and price.
The iPhone 17 will be powered by the A19 chip, while the iPhone 17 Pro models will feature the A19 Pro chip. Interestingly, the iPhone 17 Air will also come with the A19 Pro chip but with one less GPU core. The standard and Air models are expected to have a higher refresh rate display for the first time in a non-Pro iPhone. Alongside these handsets, the company is rumored to announce the Apple Watch Series 11 and AirPods Pro 3. We’ll be covering the event in detail, so stay tuned.
