Leaked Panther Lake CPU features 12 cores but no hyperthreading. It likely uses a hybrid core configuration with Performance, Efficient, and Low Power Efficient Cores.

Panther Lake Mobile Chip Specs Leaked: 12 Cores through a 4P+4E+4LPE Configuration and 3000 MHz Base Clock

Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake mobile chips have surfaced in various leaks, revealing possible specifications for some SKUs. Panther Lake is divided into PTL-H and PTL-U. The former targets mainstream budget to mid-range segments, while the latter focuses on higher power efficiency and battery life.

We recently reported that these chips could bring as many as 16 cores in total, which aligns with a recent leak by @InstLatX64. The CPU family was spotted in Intel GFX CI (Graphics Continuous Integration) Portal, focused on testing Intel’s open-source Linux graphics drivers. Panther Lake is explicitly mentioned, confirming previous reports.

CPU details: Intel, 3000 MHz, Panther Lake, 12 cores, 1 thread per core, BIOS details shown.

Panther Lake will be the last to use Family 6 before transitioning to Family 18 with Nova Lake. The model “0xCC” is Panther Lake’s ID, and Stepping “0x2” indicates silicon revision. This chip likely features a combination of 4 Performance Cougar Cove cores and 8 Efficient Darkmont Cores, or possibly a 4P+4E+4LPE configuration. No solid reports confirm either.

Intel Pentium Pro specs: Type 0, Family 6, Model 204, Stepping 0, 3200 MHz max speed.

The CPU lacks hyperthreading and has a base clock of 3.0 GHz. Another leak suggests it could boost to 3.2 GHz but these may not be final specs. Previously, the Core Ultra 7 255H mentioned with 3.7 GHz didn’t materialize, while Core Ultra 5 238V was correct at 2.1 GHz. Take these specs with a grain of salt.

Panther Lake is based on the Intel 18A node and is expected to launch in Q4 this year. However, production issues exist due to Intel’s struggles with 18A yield rates.
