According to Geekbench tests conducted by @Benchleaks, the Ryzen 5 9500F offers the typical configuration for Ryzen 5 series processors—six cores and twelve threads. It also features 32 MB of L3 cache, which is consistent with other similar processors like the Ryzen 5 9600 and its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 7500F.
The clock speeds are nearly identical to those of the Ryzen 5 9600, with a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a boost clock of 5.0 GHz. The Ryzen 5 9600 has a slightly higher boost clock speed by 200 MHz, but apart from this minor difference, both processors share the same specifications.
The performance metrics from Geekbench show that the Ryzen 5 9500F scores 3,122 in single-core and 14,369 in multi-core tests, which is comparable to the Ryzen 5 9600’s scores of 3,166 and 14,257 respectively.
Interestingly, this new processor lacks integrated graphics, making it a budget-friendly option. Given that the Ryzen 5 9600X is already priced at less than $200, the Ryzen 5 9500F could potentially be even more affordable, possibly launching at around $179 or lower.
