Unlike Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which was remade using Unreal Engine 5, Ninja Gaiden 4 is believed to run on PlatinumGames’ proprietary engine. This engine prioritizes performance over visuals, especially for action games that require low latency and high frame rates.

The game was playable at Gamescom 2025. Our reviewer Francesco De Meo had the opportunity to check it out and was favorably impressed as a long-time fan. The full game will be released on October 21 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.

Medical device company Masimo has filed a lawsuit against U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) over the reactivation of the Apple Watch’s Blood Oxygen feature. The company seeks to reinstate an import ban on Apple Watch models that utilize this feature, claiming CBP overstepped its authority and violated procedural rules. This dispute stems from Apple’s recent release of iOS 18.6.1, which included a workaround for Blood Oxygen Monitoring through the iPhone. Masimo believes this mechanism infringes upon their patents.
