Intel’s Panther Lake-H CPUs Have 65W TDP and LPDDR5X-8533 Support

Intel’s Panther Lake-H CPUs have made another appearance, this time on ADLINK’s industrial motherboard. These CPUs can feature up to 16 cores and a thermal design power (TDP) of 65W.

The Panther Lake-H CPUs are starting to appear in various industrial-scale products. ADLINK recently released a new motherboard called VNX-PL based on the VNX+ SFF standard for server blades. This small form factor (SFF) motherboard fits in the palm of your hand and includes several notable features:

VITA 90.x compliance for quick deployment
Intel H484 or H404 processor (formerly Panther Lake)
Dual channel LPDDR5X-8533 memory, up to 32GB
Onboard 1TB PCIe SSD
Data plane selectable: PCIe Gen4 x4 or 2x 10GBase-KX4
One QMC slot for expansion (SKU option)
Built-in test functions support

The platform supports Intel’s Panther Lake-H CPUs in either a 4+8+4 or 4+0+4 configuration. The 16-core SKU includes 4 Cougar Cove P-Cores, 8 Darkmont E-Cores, and 4 LP-E cores, while the 8-core SKU features 4 Cougar Cove P-Cores and 4 LP-E Darkmont cores. Both SKUs can be configured between 1 to 65W.

Dual-channel LPDDR5X-8533 memory is supported in either 16GB or 32GB options, with soldered memory that must be purchased directly from the vendor. The motherboard also includes a 1TB SSD.

In a unique start to his ruling against President Donald Trump’s administration on September 30, U.S. District Court Judge William Young included a scanned handwritten note sent to his office. The note read: “Trump has pardons and tanks – what do you have?” At the top of Young’s opinion in AAUP v. Rubio, which ruled that Trump’s effort to deport foreign-born student protesters was unconstitutional.

IO options include one 1GBase-KX (i210-IT) control plane, PCIe Gen4 x4 or 2x 10GBase-KX4, one PCIe Gen5 x8 expansion plane, one PCIe Gen4 x2 peripheral plane, DP 2.1, two USB 3.2 ports with USB 2.0, and a single QMC expansion slot.

A preliminary block diagram of Intel’s Panther Lake-H CPUs shows at least 12 PCIe Gen5 lanes, 7 PCIe Gen4 lanes, and one PCIe Gen2 lane. Other features include SPI with TPM 2.0 and BIOS ROM.

These motherboards are expected to launch in early 2026 due to limited availability of Intel’s Panther Lake CPUs in Q4 2025.
