NVIDIA Rubin Chips Set for Mass Production in H2 2026

NVIDIA has confirmed that its next-generation Rubin chips are already in fabrication and will enter volume production in the second half of 2026. During the Q2 2026 earnings call, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang detailed these plans.

Rubin is part of a larger AI platform comprising several other chips, including the Vera CPU, CX9 SuperNIC, Spectrum-X, NVLink 144 switch, and Silicon Photonics processor. Huang stated that Rubin will be NVIDIA’s third-generation NVLink rack-scale AI supercomputer with a fully mature and scalable supply chain. The company expects to scale into this $3 trillion to $4 trillion AI infrastructure market over the next five years.

During the earnings call, Jensen also highlighted the strong performance of the Blackwell Ultra GB300 platform, which has generated tens of billions in revenue. He noted that production is fully underway and demand is extraordinary.

NVIDIA’s gaming segment saw a surprising record revenue of $4.3 billion, a 14% sequential increase and a 49% year-over-year jump. This growth was driven by the ramp-up of Blackwell RTX GPUs and increased supply availability for its latest GeForce RTX 50 series.

In a unique start to his ruling against President Donald Trump’s administration on September 30, U.S. District Court Judge William Young included a scanned handwritten note sent to his office. The note read: “Trump has pardons and tanks – what do you have?” At the top of Young’s opinion in AAUP v. Rubio, which ruled that Trump’s effort to deport foreign-born student protesters was unconstitutional.

Overall, NVIDIA’s Q2 2026 revenue of $46.7 billion is a testament to its continued leadership in the AI market while delivering robust segment-wide growth. With the upcoming ramp-up of the Blackwell Ultra platform, revenue is expected to grow further in the next quarter.
