The leaked footage was shared by the same user who previously revealed the game’s Battle Royale map. Although it took Electronic Arts (EA) and the development teams a long time to unveil this information, the anticipation for Battlefield 6 remains high. This excitement was evident from the impressive numbers during last month’s open beta, which saw more players than any previous beta in the series’ history.
Data collected during testing phases revealed that many PC users ran the beta on minimum specs and lower settings, emphasizing the importance of optimizing the game for weaker systems to ensure a wide user base can enjoy it. With this focus, Battlefield 6 will not support ray tracing, likely due to its priority on performance, which is appropriate for a competitive shooter.
Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
