In a unique start to his ruling against President Donald Trump’s administration on September 30, U.S. District Court Judge William Young included a scanned handwritten note sent to his office. The note read: “Trump has pardons and tanks – what do you have?” At the top of Young’s opinion in AAUP v. Rubio, which ruled that Trump’s effort to deport foreign-born student protesters was unconstitutional.

Apple is set to launch its highly anticipated AirPods Pro 3 at an upcoming ‘Awe Dropping’ event. The new earbuds are expected to feature a range of advanced health sensors, integrating seamlessly into the company’s health-focused ecosystem. However, one much-anticipated feature—live translation—is not included in the initial release.

According to a leak by an anonymous source via 9to5Mac, the AirPods Pro 3 will not come with the rumored live translation capability at launch. The technology might still be under development, and Apple may perfect it through a software update later in the year. Previous promises from the company have sometimes proven misleading; for instance, Personalized Siri was initially set to roll out earlier this year but was delayed until 2026.

The concept of live translation is compelling: Your iPhone detects incoming speech, translates it, and then delivers the results through your AirPods. This feature would simplify multilingual conversations and be a must-have for travelers worldwide, but its absence at launch suggests it might be announced alongside other new features later.

Apart from these enhancements, the AirPods Pro 3 are expected to include two additional health sensors: one for in-ear temperature tracking and another for heart-rate monitoring. These additions make sense given Apple’s recent focus on audio-based health features. The company has introduced hearing tests and Hearing Aid tools with iOS 18 and already equips the Powerbeats Pro with heart-rate tracking. The new sensors will complement the existing health-tracking system, working alongside the Apple Watch in the Health app for combined results.

The AirPods Pro 3 are also speculated to feature a sleek new design with a slimmer case, hidden LED indicators, and a front-facing pairing button. Under the hood, they will be powered by the all-new H3 chip, promising stronger active noise cancellation (ANC), improved audio quality, and overall better performance.

In summary, the AirPods Pro 3 are set to be more than just a visual overhaul; they come with new health-centric features and improved performance. Stay tuned for further details on the event.
