Intel has announced significant leadership changes across its Core, Data Center Group (DCG), Client Computing Group (CCG), and Foundry businesses. Additionally, a new Central Engineering Group has been formed.
**Kevork Kechichian Named DCG Lead**
Kevork Kechichian has joined Intel as executive vice president and general manager of the DCG. He will lead Intel’s data center business across cloud and enterprise, including the Intel Xeon processor family. With over 30 years in the industry, Kechichian brings extensive experience from Arm, where he led technology development with ecosystem partners.
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan stated, “Kevork’s strategic vision, technical depth, and operational rigor will help us seize growth opportunities across the data center market.”
**Jim Johnson to Lead CCG**
Jim Johnson has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of Intel’s CCG. He previously led the role on an interim basis. Johnson will lead efforts to deliver innovative computing solutions and foster growth in the global PC and edge ecosystems.
Tan noted, “Jim’s steady leadership and trusted relationships across the computing industry are driving continued progress in our client business.”
**Srini Iyengar to Head Central Engineering Group**
Intel is establishing a new Central Engineering Group under Srinivasan (Srini) Iyengar. As senior vice president and Fellow, Iyengar will lead horizontal engineering functions and build a custom silicon business for external customers.
Iyengar brings deep technical expertise from Cadence Design Systems, where he led global silicon engineering. He has worked closely with hyperscale data center customers to optimize solutions for key workloads.
**Naga Chandrasekaran Expands Foundry Leadership**
Executive vice president and chief technology and operations officer Naga Chandrasekaran will expand his role to include Foundry Services. This creates a more integrated structure spanning technology development, manufacturing, and go-to-market to better serve customers.
Chandrasekaran joined Intel from Micron, where he served as senior vice president for technology development. Tan said, “Naga’s strong leadership combined with an integrated foundry operating model will enhance execution, collaboration, and customer service.”
**Michelle Johnston Holthaus to Depart**
Intel announced that Michelle Johnston Holthaus, chief executive of Intel Products, will depart after 32 years with the company. She held numerous senior roles including interim co-CEO, executive vice president, general manager of CCG, and chief revenue officer.
Holthaus will remain a strategic advisor for several months to ensure a smooth transition.
Intel CEO Tan concluded, “Throughout her incredible career, Michelle has transformed major businesses, built high-performing teams, and worked to delight our customers. She has made a lasting impact on our company.”
