Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, a full 3D remake of the seventh entry in the JRPG series, will launch worldwide on February 5, 2026. This remake is not a port of the previous Nintendo 3DS version but rather an entirely new take on the game, bringing its visuals, interface, and combat system closer to those seen in recent entries like Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
Despite Square Enix’s silence regarding Dragon Quest XII, fans have plenty more to look forward to. In addition to Reimagined, they can expect the upcoming remakes of Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D, which will offer not just enhanced visuals and quality-of-life improvements but also new features that go beyond a simple graphical upgrade.
