Kuo shared that the combined planned production for base iPhones and ‘Pro’ models in Q3 2025 is 25% higher than during the same period in 2024. The launch of the iPhone Air has attracted significant attention, with its Q3 2025 production plan being three times as much as that of the iPhone 16 Plus in Q3 2024, marking a 200% year-over-year increase.
Regarding the iPhone 17 lineup—comprising the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max—their combined production plan during this quarter is 25% higher compared to last year. Estimated delivery lead times are about one week longer. These numbers suggest that Apple may have increased production capacity by working with Foxconn.
Kuo also noted that the iPhone 17 has stronger pre-orders for this quarter, likely due to new features such as LTPO OLED display and A19 chip on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process. The base model now comes with 256GB internal memory, eliminating the need for an additional cost for increased storage.
In summary, Apple seems well-positioned with the iPhone 17, but its success across multiple markets remains to be seen.
