AMD has announced a new suite of features called FSR Redstone, powered by machine learning and designed to enhance visuals and performance on Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. The update includes an ML model that brings four neural rendering technologies for improved image quality and performance.
FSR 3.1.4 is now available as part of the FidelityFX SDK 1.1.4, featuring these new capabilities:
– **Neural Radiance Caching:** Uses an ML model to predict light behavior efficiently.
– **ML Ray Regeneration:** Trains on low-sampled renders to reduce grainy noise and improve visuals.
– **ML Super Resolution:** Reconstructs low-resolution images in real time for upscaled visuals.
– **ML Frame Generation:** Adds new fake frames between real ones to boost performance.
FSR 3.1.4 also includes bug fixes and a digitally signed upgradable DLL, allowing developers to update FSR without needing a full game patch. Games using this version can support future updates like FSR 4 by simply replacing the DLL file.
Additionally, AMD has released Unreal Engine 5.6 plugins for FSR 3.1.4 and Anti-Lag 2 to reduce system latency.
FSR Redstone is set to be rolled out later this year, providing developers with advanced ML-powered tools for game optimization.
