Dozens of games with FSR 3.1 support can now utilize the latest AMD FSR 4 technology, thanks to the new Adrenalin GPU driver.
### AMD Adrenalin Driver 25.9.1 Enables FSR 4 in Over 85 Games Thanks to Easy Compatibility With FSR 3.1 “DX12” Titles; Numerous Bugs Have Been Fixed and Many Optimizations Deployed
Finally, you may not need third-party upscaler swappers if you want to enhance your game’s visual quality, as AMD’s latest GPU driver will do the job. If your game supports FSR 3.1 out of the box, it now has a higher chance of supporting FSR 4. AMD recently announced its latest Software Adrenalin Driver version 25.9.1, which enables FSR 4 in FSR 3.1-supported games with DirectX 12.
Apart from adding support for “Borderlands 4” and “Hell Is Us,” dozens of already FSR 3.1-enabled games can now switch to the faster and more advanced FSR 4 upscaler. According to AMD, over 85 games are now supporting FSR 4, including new additions made possible by enabling FSR 4 in FSR 3.1 “DX12” titles.
Previously, it was only possible through tools like DLSS Swapper and Optiscaler, which swap DLL files to enable FSR 4. However, the RDNA 4 GPU is still a requirement, unless you are willing to go through a workaround that only works on Linux for RDNA 3 GPUs.
### Highlights
– **New Game Support**: FSR 4 can be enabled for most games that support FSR 3.1 with DirectX® 12.
– **Fixed Issues and Improvements**:
– Corruption may appear while playing Mafia: The Old Country on Radeon RX 6600 series graphics products.
– Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers with FSR 4 enabled on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics products.
– PlayStation® VR controllers are not detected while playing SteamVR.
– Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Monster Hunter Wilds with Ray Tracing enabled and recording with AMD Software on Radeon RX 7600, 7700, and 7800 series graphics products.
With the latest software update, AMD has fixed several issues and deployed optimizations. Vulkan titles will still have to wait for FSR 4 support, and no third-party upscaler swappers currently offer solutions for them.
