The latest Ryzen 9000 SKUs without integrated graphics have started appearing on retailers, though the prices may or may not be official. According to a US-based retailer, Shop BLT, AMD’s first Ryzen 9000 Zen 5-based CPUs without integrated graphics will now start shipping to customers. The Ryzen 7 9700F, an 8-core/16-thread variant of the Ryzen 7 9700X, is listed at $294 on Shop BLT, while the Ryzen 5 9500F, a 6-core/12-thread variant of the Ryzen 5 9600X, is priced at $217.
The Ryzen 7 9700F was first spotted on ASUS’s website. According to leaked specifications, it has a base clock of 3.8 GHz and an unknown boost clock that could be lower than the Ryzen 9700X. Shop BLT shows this as an “8-core/12-thread” CPU, which is likely a typo, but its TDP rating of 65W is accurate.
The Ryzen 5 9500F was seen nearly 10 days ago on Geekbench and comes with a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a boost clock of 5.0 GHz according to Shop BLT. The Ryzen 5 9600X, in contrast, can boost up to 5.4 GHz. L2+L3 cache is 38 MB, and the TDP rating is also 65W.
These prices are subject to change; the $217 for the Ryzen 5 9500F may not be official. The $294 for the Ryzen 7 9700F falls within the expected range of $250-$300 but seems somewhat higher, especially considering its potential slower boost clock compared to the Ryzen 7 9700X, which is currently available at around $329.
The Ryzen 5 9500F appears overpriced as the Ryzen 5 7500F was launched at $179 and was expected to have the same MSRP. We expect these CPUs to be available on other retailers soon, with AMD likely confirming pricing and full specifications in a few days.
