The new XOC BIOS allows users to supply up to 2001W through a single 16-pin power connector, effectively unlocking the full power of this variant of the RTX 5090 intended for the Chinese market. Although the RTX 5090 D is no longer in production, owners can now increase their power limit from nearly 600W to an impressive 2001W.
Originally spotted on the Overclock forums by user “DarknightOCR,” this XOC BIOS is compatible with the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 D Gaming OC. However, supplying such a high power limit can be dangerous and may lead to burnt power connectors.
The GALAX GeForce RTX 5090 D HOF has already achieved impressive results using an XOC BIOS, setting new world records in the 3DMark Port Royal benchmark with a boost clock of almost 3.65 GHz. While the Astral RTX 5090 D isn’t as extreme out of the box, it can potentially reach similar performance levels but may be more challenging due to its single 16-pin connector compared to the dual-connector setup on the GALAX card.
For enthusiasts willing to take risks and experiment with extreme overclocking, this XOC BIOS presents an opportunity to achieve higher speeds and performance. However, users should proceed at their own risk since the BIOS is unofficial and not verified.
