Combs, who has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, is scheduled to appear at the hearing. His legal team had recommended 14 months of imprisonment, while prosecutors sought an 11-year sentence.
The sentencing comes after Subramanian denied motions to overturn Combs’ conviction or grant a new trial. The judge called the prosecution’s evidence “overwhelming,” including testimony that escorts were paid thousands of dollars to have sex with his former girlfriends.

– Combs’ trial and sentencing hearing will not be televised, as the presence of electronic media is expressly banned by a procedural rule passed in 1946.
The sentencing is set to begin at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, October 3. Combs faced federal sex-crimes and trafficking charges in a case that eroded his status as an industry power player. He was arrested in September 2024 following a sweeping investigation into sex trafficking.
During the trial, prosecutors highlighted explicit details of Combs’ relationships with ex-girlfriends Ventura Fine and Jane, while defense lawyers argued for consensual activities. Combs is currently confined at the Metropolitan Detention Center and has not been granted bail.
