During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, host Geoff Keighley welcomed Fallout Prime Video producer Jonathan Nolan and showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet, along with stars Ella Purnell (Lucy) and Aaron Maten (Maximus). They discussed the second season of the show.
Geneva mentioned that the production team is eager to revisit some beloved locations from Fallout: New Vegas. Ella noted that Lucy faces a difficult decision when she discovers her father—whether to bring him back to the Vault for justice or deal with him in the harsh reality of the wasteland. Another intriguing theme involves the Ghoul (played by Walton Goggins), and how much he will influence Lucy, and vice versa.
Aaron pointed out that Maximus has always aspired to become a Knight of the Brotherhood of Steel. Now that he’s achieved this goal, he might encounter the “be careful what you wish for” scenario.
The cast also unveiled a teaser trailer for the second season, which will premiere on Prime Video on December 17. The trailer is packed with references to Fallout: New Vegas, and fans are already excited about it.
Only time will tell if this new season measures up to the success of its predecessor, but let’s hope for the best.
