With the Made by Google event approaching, attention has shifted to the upcoming Pixel devices and what they might bring. Speculations about the Pixel 10 lineup have been rampant, revealing significant insights. Based on these leaks, it seems that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be the most feature-rich device in the company’s series. A recent leak suggests this model will support the Qi2 wireless charging standard.

Renowned tipster Evan Blass recently confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be Qi2 compliant. This upgrade represents a significant leap from the older standard, offering more consistent charging performance and energy efficiency. However, there remains some ambiguity regarding built-in magnets. According to the leak, the device will support only the baseline power profile (BPP) mode, moving the magnets to the case instead of being integrated into the phone itself.

This improvement would help deliver faster and more hassle-free daily charging. By opting for a magnetic case rather than integrating magnets, Google can maintain a light and slim form factor while ensuring structural integrity.

Another exciting detail about the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is that it could be one of the most anticipated foldable phones of the year. According to a detailed specifications sheet from WinFuture, the device will feature UFS 4.0 storage in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options—its first significant upgrade since 2021. The phone will also come with 16GB RAM and be powered by Google’s Tensor G5 chip built on TSMC’s 3nm process, offering a 36% performance boost over the Tensor G4.

Given Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7’s powerful performance, adding these upgrades could make it the better choice.
