Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk (36), posted family photos and herself alongside her late husband’s casket on Instagram. The emotional tribute included the message: “The world is evil, but our Savior, Lord, God is so good. I will never have the words. Ever.”
Charlie Kirk was a 31-year-old conservative activist and author who was assassinated while speaking to students at Utah Valley University on September 10.
In her Instagram post, Erika Kirk reflected on her husband’s mission and vowed that his message would only be amplified: “The sound of this widow weeping echoes throughout this world like a battle cry. I have no idea what any of this means, but baby I know you do and so does our Lord. They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife.”
Charlie Kirk leaves behind two young children.
Erika Kirk’s words on Instagram echo her first public address earlier that Friday, where she called Charlie a “martyr” and vowed to continue the work of his organization, Turning Point USA, which had swept college campuses around the nation.
