Intel CEO Refutes Rumors of Ties to Chinese Firms, Reaffirms Commitment to the U.S.

There is no doubt Tan has been involved with Chinese companies for several years, but reports indicate all positions were divested before joining Intel. Moreover, Tan discloses that Intel is communicating with the Trump administration to clear misconceptions, particularly regarding President Trump’s claim that he is ‘highly conflicted.’

Interestingly, Tan clears up rumors about conflicts with board members, revealing full support from the board for transforming the company. A recent report suggested disagreements between Tan and Chairman Frank Yeary had stalled crucial decisions, including potential acquisitions. However, these internal conflicts are not as significant as perceived by the market.

Intel faced PR challenges due to lack of response to market rumors, but CEO Tan’s recent statement may restore confidence in the company.
