In July of this year, Colorful introduced the Rimbook series, which offered entry-level specifications ideal for students and home users. The company has now announced an upgrade in the form of the Rimbook S1, featuring an Intel 13th gen processor.

**Rimbook S1 Overview**
The first Rimbook laptop, called L1, featured a Core i5 12450H. The S1 upgrades this to a Core i5 13420H, which offers higher clock speeds while maintaining the same 8-core/12-thread configuration with a hybrid design of 4x P-cores and 4x E-cores.
**Design and Specifications**
The Rimbook S1 is designed for everyday use as it’s affordable, slim, and lightweight. It features an 14-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and measures just under 2cm in thickness at 1.79 cm, weighing only 1.48 Kg—200 grams less than the L1.
