The trailer also demonstrates the seamless weapon switching during mid-combos. For instance, players can throw an enemy into the air with one weapon and then slam them back down using another.
Each weapon comes with unique stats that significantly impact gameplay strategies. Players can enhance and customize weapons by using special fragments discovered throughout Lost Soul Aside. These fragments modify appearance, boost combat or healing capabilities, and upgrade Kaser’s fighting style. Experimenting with these combinations can lead to powerful effects.
Inspired by games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, Lost Soul Aside integrates roleplaying elements. The protagonist, Kaser, grows stronger through a Skill Tree, unlocking new skills that enhance damage, healing, and generate protective shields granted by the dragon-like creature Arena.
Players can also intensify attacks with precise bursts of strength during weapon combos, and fill the Fusion Gauge to summon Arena’s claws for powerful strikes. This skill evolves as Kaser progresses in his mission.
After over ten years of development, starting as a solo project by Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 29. You can find the PC system requirements here: [link].
