Just a week after the release of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and other updates, Apple has released the first beta versions of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and additional updates for developers to test and fix underlying bugs. These betas can be downloaded via the Settings app on compatible devices.
Apple Seeds iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.1 Beta 1 to Developers
If you are a registered developer, you can now download the latest beta updates for your supported iPhone and iPad through the Settings app. To install the update, navigate to General > Software Update > Beta Updates and download the latest build. You must link your Apple ID with your Developer Account to receive these updates over-the-air; otherwise, they won’t appear.
WatchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1 beta 1 have also been released for developers’ testing purposes. Apple took its time to release the first betas for these new updates and will continue working with developers in upcoming weeks to ensure stability.
