The ‘Awe Inspiring’ keynote is just two days away, and as expected, leaks of Apple’s flagship devices continue. Throughout the months, we’ve seen individual parts like milled chassis, flex cables, camera assemblies, battery covers, and more, but never a complete physical unit, likely due to Apple’s tight security measures. However, there was a time when iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max were spotted being tested on the streets, and now, an anonymous tipster has shared images of engineering samples in two colors from the backside.
The tipster, previously known as Ice Universe, posted two pictures on social media. These images are zoomed in and show the rear camera cluster and a bump, which is exclusive to Pro models. The images feature the iPhone 17 Pro Max in orange and dark blue. Since these were uploaded on a social network, there is noticeable quality loss.
During the final days before the iPhone 17 event, Apple closely monitors leaks. If someone isn’t careful, they could face immediate termination. The rear bump indicates that Apple is introducing design changes and camera upgrades. Unfortunately, none of these images suggest a switch from titanium to aluminum, so we’ll have to wait for the official event.
We believe that launching vibrant colors like orange and dark blue is another strategy to encourage customers to upgrade. We hope there are more leaks like this, so stay tuned.
