A new patch (version 1.3) for WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is now live on PC, addressing performance issues and introducing several optimizations.
The update, approximately 1.3 GB in size for the Steam version, includes a manual toggle for Low Latency Mode, which is no longer enabled by default. It also adjusts supersampling resolution limits on select GPU modes to prevent unintended performance degradation. Additionally, VRAM optimizations have been introduced for lower-end GPUs. On GPUs with less than 8GB of RAM, a memory-saving optimization is applied across all texture quality levels. For GPUs with more than 16 GB, this same optimization is applied only when the quality setting is set to low. These changes aim to improve stability and reduce crashes or stuttering caused by insufficient video memory.
The patch also addresses crushing and stuttering issues in Chapter 2 and introduces a small balance change for that chapter. The full patch notes are available [here](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2277560/view/498327923676152105).
WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is not the best Soulslike in recent years, but I found it enjoyable, particularly due to its combat mechanics. These factors helped me overlook some of the game’s issues, including significant performance problems.
