NVIDIA itself has debunked recent rumors that the RTX 50 Founders Edition GPUs have been discontinued. These GPUs are still being produced.
NVIDIA Debunks RTX 50 Founders Edition “Discontinuation & EOL” Rumors, All FE Cards In Production
A few days ago, we reported that the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 50 SUPER series won’t be launching anytime soon. This was to dispel rumors suggesting a launch as early as next month. There was no concrete information from NVIDIA regarding such a plan, and reports of delays were also unfounded.
Now, another false story has emerged, claiming that the removal of RTX 50 Founders Edition GPUs is part of a “Discontinuation” or “EOL” process to make room for an upcoming launch. However, NVIDIA has directly confirmed this rumor to be fake:
GeForce RTX 50 series Founders Editions continue to be in production. They are limited edition products so, from time to time, go out of stock on our website and return when back in stock.
NVIDIA GeForce Spokesperson to Wccftech

Founders Edition GPUs have always been “Limited Edition” products. When they run out of stock on NVIDIA’s website, they are removed and relisted when restocked.
NVIDIA confirms that the GeForce RTX 50 series and Founders Edition cards continue to be in full production. This dispels the notion that the RTX 50 SUPER launch is imminent or that existing cards will be discontinued soon. Continuing “full production” on a product that will be replaced would cause inventory issues for partners.
Moreover, the GeForce RTX 50 SUPER series typically replaces non-SUPER variants. Therefore, if NVIDIA isn’t ending production on these cards, it suggests they don’t plan to replace them for some time. While we expect an RTX 50 SUPER launch based on leaks and rumors, there’s no evidence or official communication from NVIDIA regarding their plans or pricing.
