NVIDIA’s Blackwell GB300 enterprise AI system’s shipments are expected to grow 300% in the third quarter, according to brokerage estimates. Blackwell is NVIDIA’s latest design for AI GPUs, having started shipping earlier this year. During the second quarter, roughly half of NVIDIA’s data center revenue came from Blackwell chips. A year prior, NVIDIA had to modify the chip’s production mask to boost efficiency.

NVIDIA’s Blackwell GPU-Based Systems Expected To Ship Up To 60,000 Units Next Year

A GB300 Blackwell system consists of 72 of the latest NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and 36 Arm-based processors. It is the most advanced AI infrastructure system in the world and one of the most sought-after.

NVIDIA began shipping customer samples of its Blackwell GPUs during the second fiscal quarter last year. At that time, the company updated the product mask for the GPU and stated that Blackwell production would ramp in the fourth quarter and contribute to revenue for the first time.

In the fourth quarter of last year, NVIDIA described it as their fastest ramp in history and added that the architecture generated $11 billion in revenue. In the following quarter, NVIDIA explained that the Blackwell ramp had expanded to all customer categories, including gaming customers accessing chips designed with the latest architecture.

During the second quarter of 2025 (Q2FY26), NVIDIA’s Blackwell revenue grew by 17% sequentially. This growth also benefited the Gaming and Professional Visualization segments. The second quarter was also when NVIDIA first mentioned the Blackwell Ultra GPU, which began production ramp during this time.

US brokerage estimates suggest that Blackwell GB200 and GB300 systems can grow their shipments by 300% in the third quarter. Additionally, these systems could ship as many as 60,000 units next year.

Previous estimates indicated that Microsoft was expected to order roughly 1,500 GB200 racks during Q4 2025. The latest shipment estimates come amid optimism surrounding Taiwan’s Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), one of NVIDIA’s leading contract manufacturers for Blackwell rack assembly. Analysts believe Foxconn can continue to benefit from growing AI demand.
