The Galaxy S26 Ultra is drawing specific criticism for its less refined and bulkier appearance compared to its predecessor. Despite Samsung’s past recognition in the tech community for its minimalist focus and sleek design, the S26 Ultra appears to be moving in a different direction. While the layout makes the phone’s back appear functional, it seems more geared toward practical utility than premium aesthetics.
The report suggests that the S26 Ultra will have a wider aperture for its primary camera, which would be especially beneficial in low-light conditions. The focus is on delivering better results rather than merely achieving a high-end look. Samsung plans to take a different approach across its lineup; the S26 Ultra will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chip for top-tier performance, while other models might use either the in-house Exynos processor or Snapdragon chips.
Users often express frustration with the inconsistency of chipsets across Samsung’s ecosystem. However, it is expected that the Ultra model will be equipped with the best hardware available.
