Tesla has been unusually active over the Labor Day holiday. It released the fourth iteration of its famous “Master Plan,” which highlights the potential of the Optimus humanoid robot, and teased a Cyber SUV in its “Sustainable Abundance” video.
Specifically, Tesla showed mini models of its Cyber SUV vehicle in the aforementioned video. Whether this model will be launched is still uncertain, but it’s clear that the company is exploring this direction.

A couple of months ago, Tesla was believed to be working on a sub-$30,000 hatchback model. However, it launched an iterative, six-seat Model Y L in China instead.
Tesla has emphasized the importance of its Optimus humanoid robot in its fourth Master Plan. It notes that “Optimus—our autonomous humanoid robot—is changing not only the perception of labor itself but its availability and capability. Jobs and tasks that are particularly monotonous or dangerous can now be accomplished by other means. In this way, Optimus’s mission is to give people back more time to do what they love.”
Tesla intends to launch its humanoid robot commercially by early 2026.

According to Kalshi users, there’s only a 40 percent chance that Tesla will launch the Optimus robot before 2027.
Tesla has abandoned its Dojo supercomputer efforts and increased reliance on NVIDIA’s chips for training its FSD. The robot is expected to run commercially on upcoming AI5 chips.
Additionally, Samsung will supply OLED panels for the facial display of the Optimus robot. This screen will serve as the primary communication tool, showing emotions, expressions, and basic status updates.
