Dell Deploys AMD Radeon RX 7400 in Its New Pro Tower Plus Desktop PC With Core Ultra 7 vPRO CPU; Hints at OEM Exclusivity
The AMD Radeon RX 7400 has been a mystery, with occasional reports and its inclusion in AIDA64’s database. It was first spotted last year but took a while to appear on retail platforms.
The Radeon RX 7400 belongs to the RDNA 3 architecture, part of the RX 7000 lineup. Unlike the previous RDNA 2 generation, where weaker GPUs like the RX 6400 and RX 6500 XT were launched, the RX 7000 series maintained a stronger GPU. The RX 7400 appears to be prepared for desktop PC deployment, similar to the previously leaked RX 7300.
Dell has incorporated the Radeon RX 7400 into its newest Pro Tower Plus desktop enterprise PC, which features an Intel Core Ultra 7 vPRO processor. Details on the GPU are limited, but it is expected to have 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM, surpassing its predecessor’s 4 GB capacity. The RX 7400 will also feature four DisplayPorts.
From previous reports, we know that the Radeon RX 7400 uses the same die as the Radeon RX 7600 (NAVI 33) but is significantly cut down with fewer shaders and likely a narrower bus width of 64-bit. However, its exact price or availability are unknown, suggesting it will be close to an official retail launch.
The specs reveal that Dell’s Pro Tower Plus QBT1250 model includes the Core Ultra 7 vPRO CPU and Radeon RX 7400, with a total of 16 GB RAM.
