Intel’s next-generation Panther Lake CPUs are anticipated to debut later this year with limited SKUs. These processors will be the first client product from Intel fabricated using the 18A process and feature the latest architecture, including Cougar Cove P-Cores, Darkmont E-Cores, and Xe3 for graphics. The chips can include up to 16 cores in a mix of P-Core, E-Core, and LP-E Core flavors, with up to 12Xe3 cores.
DFI announced this new industrial solution, which includes a Mini-ITX motherboard equipped with an Intel Panther Lake-H chip. This specific SKU has a TDP of 25W and is TDP-adjustable due to the nature of industrial motherboards. The motherboard supports two DDR5 SO-DIMMs up to 128 GB with speeds reaching up to 7200 MT/s.
Key specifications include:
– Quad Display output: 1 DP++, 1 HDMI 2.0, 1 USB Type-C, and 1 M2A-Display Extension port.
– Multiple expansion options: 1 PCIe Gen5 x4 slot, 1 M.2 M Key (NVMe), 1 M.2 B Key with SIM slot for 4G/5G, 1 M.2 E Key for WIFI/BT, and 1 M.2 A Key.
– Rich I/O: Support up to 3 Intel 2.5GbE LAN ports, 2 COM ports, 4 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, 1 USB Type-C (DP alt/USB3 Gen2/PD 15W), 5 USB 2.0 headers, 2 SATA III ports, and a 3W L/R Audio.
– Additional features: EXT-OOB support, optional internal RJ45, CNVi, vPro technologies, and a 10-year CPU life cycle until Q1’36.

This new industrial motherboard is designed to be versatile for various applications, including Mini PCs, laptops, handheld devices, and more. Although no pricing or availability details are provided, it is expected to launch in late Q4 2025 or early Q1 2026, as Intel ramps up production of Panther Lake processors.
The next update from Intel will be the Nova Lake-S CPUs, which are anticipated for release in the second half of 2026.
