The XFinity+ DDR5 memory kit features a built-in OLED display on the modules to show real-time metrics, eliminating the need for dedicated monitoring displays. V-Color and GIGABYTE collaborated to introduce these modules, which are available in various capacities for both AMD and Intel platforms.
Built-in displays are becoming common in PC components, including chassis and AIO coolers. However, this is the first time a dedicated display appears on memory modules. V-Color’s XFinity+ DDR5 RAM is the world’s first to feature an OLED display on its modules and holds patent M664715. We initially saw these modules at Computex.
The XFinity+ DDR5 can display metrics like temperature, speed, timings, capacity, profile, and voltage directly from the motherboard without additional cables. Users can control which information is displayed via software.
Available for both AMD and Intel platforms, V-Color’s XFinity+ memory supports easy overclocking using EXPO and XMP profiles. V-Color demonstrated its capabilities on different GIGABYTE motherboards—X870E AORUS Master X3D ICE and Z890 AORUS Master—with impressive speeds.
For Intel platforms, the XFinity+ is available as 200S Boost-certified kits with up to 64 GB capacities at 9066 MT/s. For AMD AM5, Ultra Low Timing and High Performance modules also reach 9000 MT/s. Each kit contains two memory modules, but only one has the OLED display.
While the built-in display is visible from the side, most cases lack transparent panels or have pre-installed fans that block the view. However, for dual-sided tempered glass cases, XFinity+ looks attractive.
V-Color plans to launch SCC Kit 2+2 (Memory Kit + RGB Filler Combo) in the future. The XFinity+ DDR5 is designed for performance enthusiasts and will be mass-produced in Q3 2025, starting with Newegg retail stores.
