However, Verizon is now increasing prices on many of its Business Unlimited smartphone plans by $3 per line starting September 2025. This strategic move encourages businesses to transition to the new My Biz Plan introduced in April 2025.
The My Biz Plan offers more flexibility and customization options tailored to unique business needs. Unlike traditional plans, it allows users to save on add-ons that can affect monthly costs due to varied requirements. The plan includes a three-year price lock guarantee for calling, texting, and data, providing stability for small-scale businesses and startups looking for less fluctuating plans. While the basic monthly plan is locked in price, this does not include taxes, fees, or additional add-ons.
From a business perspective, the My Biz Plan could be a significant upgrade due to its more tailored approach that avoids rarely used features. The price lock offers better cost control and predictability, making it easier for businesses to plan their expenses. However, some users may prefer continuing with existing Business Unlimited plans because of the known value.
While Verizon’s price adjustments are not unique and seem to be an industry-wide trend, this strategic push for more flexible plans could benefit some users. Others might resist and prefer established plans. The success of this shift depends on clear communication from the carrier about the benefits of the My Biz Plan.
